traveLaUnion: A Web Application Guide in Exploring the Tourist Spots of La Union

This study aimed to help the Province of La Union in promoting tourist spots nationwide. Specifically, this achieved the following objectives: to identify the capabilities and constraints of existing methods of promoting tourist spots of La Union through conducting of an interview using a questionnaire; to develop the web application in promoting the tourist spots of La Union using the Web Application Life Cycle Model; and to determine the level of usability of the developed web application. The researchers used descriptive and developmental methods of research in accomplishing the objectives of this study whereas the materials they used are the PIECES questionnaire, Web Development Life Cycle Model and the System Usability Scale questionnaire. As a result on the capabilities and constraints of the existing methods, it is perceived as capabilities however, it is still a need for the Provincial Information and Tourism Office to have a web application in promoting tourist spots. Through this, Web Development Life Cycle Model has been utilized for the development and it has been proven very suitable. Lastly, the designed and developed traveLaUnion: A Web Application Guide in Exploring the Tourist Spots of La Union is proven usable with a mean rating of 4.39.
