Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is a technology that uses radio waves to transfer data from an electronic tag, called RFID tag or label, attached to an object, through a reader for the purpose of identifying and tracking the object,. RFID technology that has been widely deployed by various organizations as a part of their automation systems. In this system, an RFID based system has been built in order to produce an attendance management system. In this study, the objectives are: (1) to determine the problems encountered in the existing student monitoring in the AKSS, (2) to develop the system using RAD Model, (3) to determine the level of usability of the proposed system. Descriptive method of research was employed with the interview and questionnaire as data gathering instruments. Developmental method was also utilized using Software Development Life Cycle as a basis in developing the Students Monitoring System Using Radio Frequency Identification Technology. The level of seriousness of the existing students monitoring system of the AKSS is 3.35 which implies as serious. The developed system is usable as evidenced by the mean rating of 3.33.
