This study aimed to create a solar-powered device which can automatically water plants using arduino. Specifically, it sought to achieve the following objectives: identify the functional and non-functional requirements of the hardware architecture; develop an Arduino-Based Solar-Powered Garden Watering System, and evaluate the efficiency of the developed Hardino in terms of Electrical Consumption and Labor. This study made use of the descriptive-developmental design with a survey questionnaire, cost-benefit analysis and observation as data gathering tools. The data gathered was construed through summarizing results and recording the electrical consumption and labor expenses. The researchers found out that the respondents still use the traditional way of watering plants with a percentage of 69%. By using the RAD model, Hardino was developed according to certain specifications that would cater the needs of the institution. As to the efficiency of the system, it is to be seen when used for long term purposes.
