iBrowse: AN ANDROID-BASED APPLICATION FOR THE COLLEGE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE READING CENTER

The main objective of this study was to propose an android-based application which is called the iBrowse for the College of Computer Science Reading Center. Specifically, it aimed at attaining the following objectives: to identify the functional and non-functional requirements for the proposed Android-Based Application; to design and build the proposed Android-Based Application; and to determine the level of acceptability of said application. The researchers used descriptive and developmental research designs. The researchers also employed the Mobile Application Development Life Cycle (MADLC) model in the development and the USE Questionnaire for the acceptability test. The study found that the Mobile Application Development Life Cycle model is suitable in the development of the mobile application. As to performance, the mobile application was rated acceptable in terms of its usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning and satisfaction with an overall mean rating of 4.55.
