BaM-ASK: A Decision Support System for Learners' Reading Comprehension

This study aimed to develop a decision support system for learners' reading comprehension. Specifically, it aimed to achieve the following objectives: (1) to identify the different key indicators of learner's reading comprehension; (2) to develop a DSS for reading assessment of learners; and (3) to determine the acceptability level of proposed DSS of learners' reading assessment. Descriptive-developmental research methods were employed to organize the presentation, prescription and interpretation of the data gathered; and applied method by the use of Software Development Life Cycle and Speech processing model for the artificial intelligence and programming languages like PHP, Java, and Kotlin. The developed application has voice recognition, reading passages, comprehension questions, and evaluation of the reading assessment and flashcards for pronunciation. BaM-AsK: a Decision Support System for Learners' Reading Comprehension Application was developed using SDLC and Speech Processing model and PHP as the programming language; and BaM-ASK application was rated as very much acceptable.
